I wanna have fu-un!

so.
I've been busy all weeekend and only managed to get in short 1 hour rides that involve alot of training. Today, as of 12:00, I'm stiill in my pj's. I don't want to do any schooling, and I'm sure that Rowdy doesn't either.

On that note, does anyone have anything fun we could do today? I can't go on a trail ride cause I have no one to go with me (under 16 arent allowed to go alone). I can ride in the pastures, but mostly I'm just looking for fun little excersises?

Do an obstacle course! :)
Set up little things for you and your horse to do in the pasture:
- pull a tarp
- back around barrels
- weave cones
- do some small jumps
- walk through branches
- pull a log (dally to your saddle)
There's more ideas for obstacles in this (Obstacle courses training anyone?) thread :)
Also check out this site! http://www.gentledovefarm.com/

Do you have a creek or pong around your area? You could always take your horse swimming (although its probably too cold there:~)

Here's another thread with some fun ideas: What are some fun things to do with your horse?
I like the idea of broom polo!!

You could also try some bareback bridle-less riding, if you have an enclosed area and trust your horse enough. You just put an rope around their neck and rely on the way you sit, leg pressure, and maybe using the rope to neck rein. :)

Haha hope you find something fun!
Enjoy!!

Also, depending on what you have laying around the barn, you could do some barrel racing, cutting, pole bending, keyhole, ect. :)
