Talking Just wanted to brag

Here's our long story:

Beauty was rescued as a two year old, after being worked as a carthorse (at only a year!). she was underweight, very untrusting of people and had sores all over her back from where her harness had rubbed. She had a pelvic injury and a broken splint bone.

She was adopted by my friend Lynne, and our vet said straight off "don't plan on being able to ride this pony". So we just loved her and taught her all the things she needed to know. She's too sweet!

Anyway, she's four and a half now, and at her last check up (the vet sees her every few months because her legs were in a such a state when she was rescued) and said to us "okay, go ahead and back her."

she can't be ridden more than three times a week, and for an absolute maximum of twenty minutes, and we only walk and trot. but it's just been so rewarding to be able to start her and see how she's progressing.

So here are some pictures of us riding so i can show off how amazing our little Beauty Queen is, and how proud we are of her!

Aww that is sooo cute!! Gotta love stories like that Sure made me smile. I love hearing that those poor unwanted rescue horses (especially abused ones) have found amazing homes where they are allowed to flourish and grow as they should. Great job with her, I'm so happy for you!!

She looks very pretty and calm. What a lovely story!

Interesting "fence" around your arena. Where did you get that idea?

Red Gate Farm, i have no idea why we have tyres as a fence, lol. I think it was just cheaper. but the horses don't mind. Beauty likes sticking her head down them to look for food.

She's super calm, she hardly spooks at anything. after she's seen something spooky she usually tries to go beat it up. I had to haul her away from someone once, she tried to rip up their newspaper while we were walking because it rustled!
