I was away for about a month, in Florida. While there I made it to Wellington to see the horse shows often. It was really amazing.
I didn't ride at all for that month, and it was horrible! I came back, and made sure to schedule a full week of lessons...5 days this week. (im going broke this way, but I don't care).
Today was my second lesson. During my lesson I realized that not more than once did my trainer say anything about keeping my hands still, which used to be a big problem of mine. I realized that I was keeping them still, and steady. It felt great to not have to constantly focus on my hands, they just did what they should have.
It is the little things like this that make riding so amazing. I feel so much brighter just knowing I accomplished one of the fundamentals of riding. I'm sure I'll still need to be occasionally reminded, but this was a big step.
To add to my pleasure, my coach finally has me doing two-point. I had been anxious as to when that would happen. It's nice to know I am improving!
