    Maverick's Coming Along Nicely :)

Haven't been on here in ages, so I thought I'd give you all an update on Ricky. He's been doing so well. He's been spelling out in the big paddock for about 3 months now, just having horsey time to grow up and what not. Went over 3 weeks ago to give him a bath and just a general check over and he behaved exceptionally.

Then yesterday, the house was strangely quiet and suspicious. Next thing I know, I hear hoofs out the front on the concrete and I thought it was my friend riding her mare over to see me. But when I walked outside, it was my trainer and her riding Ricky . Little did I know, my parents had arranged as a gift for me, to have him properly trained. It was honestly one of the best moments of my life. I've put in so much effort with this little man, I've had him since he was a weanling and I've done all the work. Now he's fully functional, and ready to go.

Here's some photos :) I know he needs his hooves done, there being done this afternoon. And excuse his sweatiness, he'd been for a trail ride and a swim in the creek. That's my trainer on him. He looks really awkward in the photos too.
