I"m planning on doing lots of trotting and hill work.
The hill to our trail is fairly smooth, so I was planning on trotting up, hen walking down, and then repeating. After that go on the trail to do some more walking up and down hills.
Is there anything else you guys would recommend?
I've also read that letting them run will help relax/stretch muscles. Would that be good to do every once in a while? Also: cantering uses less muscles, but it does help build muscles in their butt, if they're cantering correctly, right?
This is the best shot of her body I have, this was in early 2012. She hasn't changed all that much.
