My New Boy! =D

So I've been looking around or a new horse I can use for a competition. And I do believe I fouuundd hiiim xD

He's a little bit older but DAY-UM he's got so much life left in him! He looks about four years old. He's about seventeen. Arab/QH cross. His name is Rebel...very nice bay gelding. His only quirk is that he needs a break tune-up. But he's gentle for kids, and real spunky when an adult gets on him. Very good. And we were looking at two other mares while we were there too and one pulled back on the tie and flipped over on her rump, then came running right into him and he didn't do anything. Just stood there for a second, then slowly moved away.

And I took him through all the gaits. He picked up everything perfectly. And I asked him to dive in and turn around a barrel and he did it without even hesitating. He switches leads incredibly smoothly on the pole bending course and he has a lot of power behind his rear. I did a couple flying changes too and he did well. Sidepassed down the fench, haunch and forehand turn, bending at the pole, collecting and extending, and moving over at the trot. He didn't mind cows and even wanted to chase the little steer she had in the pasture. And the stallion of the stable was squealing and he didn't react. Just kept his focus on me and continued.

I'm very pleased. And we got really lucky....We're trading two saddles for him. No cash. And we had him checked over and he is perfectly sound. We've been out there several times and never has there been anything wrong. The lady who owns him is moving away and is trying to sell ASAP so she can get out of her house (Foreclosure) and Rebel was the best of her stock. The rest were all crazy o.o

I'll try and get some pics up soon. We're picking him up this week xD

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.
