New Little Girls - lotsa speed

We went to an auction sale the past 2 days... looking at one horse and ended up bringing TWO fillies home! We paid $750 each, which was high selling for their age, weanlings were going for $200, so we could have easily filled the trailer and then some...

Both mares are eligable for a couple barrel racing futurities, and the bay is eligable for some $50,000 Super Stakes something-or-other. They both have a TON of run on their papers, but the bay has more cow.

Anywho, whatcha think??

The darker mare may go gray or blue roan, she has white hairs coming in her flanks. Her full sister was also at the sale as a 2 year old, and was a very blue roan.

It seems that I may get to call the dark one mine :)

(I kinda caught her mid-whinny there...)

I'm looking at the darker one and thinking, "Whoa! She's got speed!"

Sometimes I wrestle with my demons. Sometimes we just snuggle.

They're coming two in Spring. The bay was a late baby, so she'll be two in June.

Hahaha yeah... that's what I said when I saw her. And my mom was like "Well it's what you wanted, isn't it?" :p she's going to be a speed demon, I saw her go for a rip in the pasture today. Jaw. Dropped.
