Well Rider 23, I wish I had thought of that sentence - if I had, I would have included it in the article.

Ah, yes. The only known martial art which does more damage to the practitioner than the recipient

The Kiss came about when the Liverpool FC discovered that Wayne Rooney after leaving Everton FC was going to play for Manchester United FC. The Scoussers had to bang their heads together to relieve the anguish.

Well Kiwilady, I was referring to the game our US buddies call 'soccer' - that's the
Game where they 'kiss' eachother. Up in Scousserland they also play a game call Rugby League - that is a sort of 'Rugger' played by 13 men instead of the regular 15, like what you play with.

Anyway, you Kiwis have a secret weapon - those Maoris, you don't play fair.

Awwww Barry, don't hate us because we are awesome!!!

On sunday I went for my first horse ride in over a month. I have been working 7 days a week for some time now and finally I took a day off to 'rest' ( naturally horse riding took precedence). I was a bit nervous because this is the longest period that Phoenix has been out of work for since I broke her in. Also I have been hard feeding her and I had no idea how the new feed was going to effect her. AND the weather was disgusting - a freezing cold southerly gale was blowing up a storm. However I was hanging out for a horse ride so I thought, bugger it, I'm just going to do it.

I was really pleased she was quite brilliant. We did end up going sideways a couple of times when I decided to trot but in the grand scheme of things I was pleasently surprised. You know, Phoenix is a big strong girl and she is aware of how strong she is and yet I never fear for my safety with her. Wether it be on the ground or on her back she is amazingly self restrained. I would love to say it is a result of my superior training but I think that she is just a very, very nice animal who has fortunately never been given a reason to mistrust people.

'Hate' - wrong word Kiwilady, perhaps: 'envy' , 'begrudge', 'accept', 'come to terms with',-. We are not used to being 'humbled'.
All we English have is Johnny Wilkinson and you Rugby nations keep sitting on him and breaking him - he is only a little fella after all. We introduced the game to you Guys now give us a break. It is only polite to lose every now and again.

That Phoneix is indeed a lucky girl, for she has a Mistress that understands her.
