Nowhere to go, nothing to do.

I, as some of you may know, live practically in the middle of nowhere, Tennessee. It gets pretty annoying when you want to ride your horse, but finally get out there and realize that you know where everything is and have nothing to do and nobody to see. I'm not allowed to drive since the trailer accident (Backed up too far. Don't make fun of me. :)) and now have no way to go to the lake or any of the arenas near here to ride. It's like being stranded. Any suggestions? Just to help you out, we ride western and I have ridden him bareback on a daily basis. Tons of fields around here, but we have to stick to the roads to get to them. Railroad tracks are fun, but he spooks at them sometimes. (He's crossed 2 times and still doesn't know what they are.) And Bar K Ranch is the closest ranch, and they are probably close to a few hours' ride away. UGGGHH. So bored.

I have the same problem. Our 8 acre farmette is beautiful, but it gets boring real quick. And I don't dare ride along the road because people are jerks and drive by at 60 miles an hour. So I'm stuck in the backyard. That's mostly why I hardly ever ride. There's nowhere to go.

Maybe get some buddies together and plan trail rides? Someone else could drive. That's what I'd be doing if I had a trailer.

Eh. We have 38 acres, mostly forest. All my friends live waaaaayyy far out or right in the middle of town and not many of them have horses. It is finally spring break, and I'm trying to see if Cayce can come get me sometime this weekend with her TWH. But it's still up in the air, and won't stop the boredom long. I'm worried that Ray will get fed up with the nothingness and start acting out. :S
