Obstacle course building

Does anyone have any fun ideas for an obstacle course?

I am on the search for a new horse and I want to dabble in some competitive trail riding or something similar. I'm not sure if the new horse will be finished out for competitive trail or not. While I'm searching for the horse I have started to make an obstacle course to train/practice on or just have a bit of fun.

So far I have a fake bridge made of scrap lumber, some old logs to step over, and a big trucking tarp to walk on. I plan on making a tunnel out of PVC pipe and tarp, also using two of my jump standards and some pool noodles to make a flexible barrier to push through.

So what can y'all come up with?

A ditch maybe? If you're willing to do some digging...

Thank you for feeding us years of lies. Thank you for the wars you left us to fight. Thank you for the world you ruined overnight. But we'll be fine, yeah we'll be fine.

Digging should not be a big problem. My dad lives fairly close by and has a tractor I can borrow if I need one and access to a backhoe.

Log jam. Several logs of varying sizes and shapes and lengths placed every which way for the horse to pick his way through.

Build two standards 4' high then use two pool noodles to form a hoop. Try rubbing your horse in a sawing fashion with a pool noodle. It makes an odd noise which seems to cause the horse to wonder about it.
