Our Show -- Video

Hey,

We haven't got our results yet. We left before they came out, but here is us at our comp. When I smack him with my whip in barrels I actually didn't mean to I dropped my rein and went to pick it up but kinda slapped him instead. At the end we were mucking around with the Wynnum girls, we are soon to be part of the Wynnum team!

looks like you guys had a great time! I hadn't ever seen a vid of you before and I must say you have a great seat. You were totally in balance the whole time and never looked rattled going around the barrels. And Chinga looks like he has a great canter! very lofty and big. His weight and coat look great too!

Keep us updated on future comps and congrats on completing your first one!

Thanks guys, at the start some girls had said "Have you seen the girl on the bay with the blue saddle blanket, she can't ride" and I was telling my aunty, poppy and dad about it and dad said "So you're admitting you can't ride". We had our own cheer sqaud out there.

We had awsome fun. How did we look, at the start he was kinda freaking out at the flags a tiny bit, and the first to courses we had never done. Next will be a three day eventing comp ((His now an allrounder pony))

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Australia has practically no three day events, and none really at lower levels. We have ODE (one day events), and if you get graded with the pony club you can attend a Pony Club one, which is good, as they are generally cheaper and you don't have to buy all new gear. Will be fun for you though.

Its like 3 day eventing but only on one day, and with only one cross country stage (ie. no steeple chases or roads or whatever were in typical "three day events", i'm pretty sure thats even changing the 3 day events now). At pony club generally you have dressage first thing in the morning, then you do cross country, then a lunch break then show jumping.

Its a full day and can get a little hectic, but its fun.

I think the only actual 3DEs that we have in Australia anymore are in Sydney and Adelaide, I could be wrong though.
