Trust me, you'll be fine. I'm about your age and weight and I've ridden shorter. Granted I am about 20 pounds heavier than you and two years older, but you're fine. All the cutting horses in this area are that same size about and they carry big,s tocky 200-pound men and work without getting sweaty. I'm sure the pony wil be able to carry a petite girl like you. 100 pounds really isn't that heavy.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
