Talking Project Pony

Almost every year, I get a project pony & ride them all year, and then pass them on to someone else in the Summer. . . Two years ago I had Horus, last year I had Milo, this year I have Roger. Roger is a bit different then what I have worked with before, a little more difficult, and in the beginning we just weren't working out for each other. So I gave him the winter off, took a lot of lessons, also worked on riding on my own, & improved my seat and leg a lot. On Saturday I got back on Roger and he was AMAZING! I feel like I have more control of him then ever, he hasn't exactly "changed", but he is just paying more attention to me, coming back more easily, softening more easily, ect! I think I'm going to hold onto this one a little longer, maybe into next year, because he needs the extra work, but I am very proud of him & excited to see what kind of potential he has

I'm happy to hear Roger is coming along nicely :)
Project Ponies are a challenge, and i'm impressed you didn't pick the easiest one to work with. Grats on improving your riding and I give my best wishes that you and Roger will progress even more
