Quilfiers for eventing champs, Upright dificulties

Well I have a showjumping quilifier I am doing in three months for the 2011 eventing champs of great britain, but my horse really seems to struggle with upright fences any advice? He's done 4ft 3 spreads but he seems to knock the upright rails off, I need desprate advice!

Does your horse carry himself very on the forehand? If my mare is not right on her hocks its like she doesnty even see the uprights.

I would try move your placing pole out to give him the genera idea. If this doesnt work loose school or lunge him over verticals and see are you throwing him foreward accidently.
