Exclamation Ride English in Saddle Seat Saddle

Hi there everyone. I have a problem.
I am an Teenage English Rider that took Riding lessons were I was ridding English and Western. About 4 months ago my Riding Instructor was badly kicked in the knee. I havent been able to get ahold of her, so I started to go to my friends Stables. The problem is that her stables only does Saddle Seat riding. But, being me and not really thinking that saddle seat is too fun, I still want to ride english.
So here is my question:
Could I ride English on a Saddle Seat Saddle? Like sit the way you do in an English Saddle on the Saddle Seat Saddle? Just wondering, Thanks for reading!

The short answer? Yes. They're very flat saddles, but I even trail rode in mine until I could get something more suitable.

It's like being a musician--ANY music makes you better.
ANY English lessons will improve your riding. Saddleseat is usually shown with SB's, but the saddle you are riding was also used on gaited horses and is called a "Plantation Saddle." Sometimes it's referred to as a "Cut Back" bc the pommel looks like someone took a hatchet to the middle. We own one, and my DH has ridden it many times.
