I love fall, but not winter! It can reach -30 sometimes -40 degrees here. I had a picture from last year on my thermostat of my truck at -42 one morning :O

Oh!! fall is my absolute favorite time of year for riding!! It's my favorite season all around too, but the leaves turning and the crisp air just stirs something up in me....now, the winters here can be harsh and when it gets down intot the single digits thats cold for me!

I love the fall, too! It was a little cooler today, especially in the morning. Lovely.
Yesterday there was even one tree already turning red out on the trail!

went on a trail ride yesterday, and while the leaves haven;t turned much yet, the air had just a tiny bit of a bite to it. ahhh, it is my favorite.
Especially after sweating our butts off this summer!

Normally I love fall but since I got preggers I'm not much for cold....well i'm not much for hot either. I pass out when it gets humid and hot and I get chilled when it is 15 or lower or if there is a cold breeze. I'm hoping that i'll start feeling better soon and can start working with Indy a bit more before I start gaining all my weight back.

Myth= Free/Cheap horses are expensive.
Indy was $150 we keep her in a pasture with a shed for free and she is brushed and fussed over dailey. Other then deworming and feet trimming she isn't costing us anything.

Taking my then fiance now hubby for a trailride down an old road, through a harvested wheat field then through a corn field and into the bush. I was in the saddle for the first time in 6 months and the horse was on a new medication and acting like a 3 year old. Started racing my friends horse and my quiet trailride turned into a gallop cross country over ditches with the horse bucking and rearing and me being thrown out of the saddle and riding on the horses neck. I got him under control and dismounted, turned to my friend and fiance who where riding up extreamly worried and did a huge bow. My fiance thought I was crazy when I got back on the horse and hand galloped hi across the same field. This time under control to put him back in his place. My friend just laughed and clapped and asked if I was gonna give in to her constant advice that I join a rodeo to ride saddle broncos for money since with a saddle I don't ever seem to come off. Bareback not so much but with a saddle (well a properly fitted one anyways) I always managed to stay on the half crazy horses she put me on.
