    Riding long horns. ?'s

Wonderin if anyone has rode em? There's some going cheap close enough to consider buying. They are NOT broke to ride, but are cheap enuf that even if breaking doesn't go well, the freezer will be stocked. Mmm steak.

Yes, Longhorns have been ridden for many years, especially in Texas.

You rode one? I know they have been riding em. And I've actually been on dairy cows. Been on, wouldn't call it riding!

    Green Broke
I worked for an outfit that bought "Lester" the Longhorn who was in the movie "Blazing Saddles." The ranch manager bought on impulse at some sale.

I got on him and I think we found out why he was so cheap. Lester flung his head and sent me sailing. Thought I broke a rib. Might have.

We eventually got to where we could ride him, but didn't have a reason or the time, so he went to another place.
