Riding opportunities only now

I just noticed something funny. Before I got a horse, I was desperate to ride any horse. We'd ask friends from church, or people we knew who owned horses if I could exercise their horses or groom or whatever, but no one ever wanted me to come over, or they didn't need the help. Once it seemed like someone wanted me to half-lease their horse, but it didn't work out.

Now, ever since I got my horse in June, I've gotten these oportunities to ride other people's horses. One of my "aunties" from church had a party at her house then let me ride one of their horses and said I could come out whever to ride because their horses barely get ridden. And this Sunday another aunty came to talk to me and she wants me to see if I can come over and ride one of her horses because he needs the exercise.

I'm so overjoyed to have these opportunities, but maybe they could have asked when I actually had the time? :P I think it's a good introduction to the western world of riding, though. I've always wanted to learn how to at least tack up with western tack and now I'll get the chance. It's just hard since I still have to rely on my mom to drive me everywhere since I don't have my driver's license. But I'm excited anyways!

I just wanted to... ramble I guess. Anyone else have random offers to ride horses? I love it, hehe.

Hawaii, the best way to learn is to ride everything you can. What a great opportunity. Enjoy it!

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

Thanks everyone! I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully I can fit it in with my schoolwork, barn work, and horsie time. ;)

I used to ride many different horses... Until I got mine... :) Now I just don't have enough time even to ride both of them. So I don't ride others. Although if you love it and have enough time for it - that's great!

I like riding different horses and now that I have my own, I miss it a lot.

Update! I might be able to see/ride one of the horses tomorrow. I'm way busy tomorrow, but we'll see.

Thats cool! I have had people at my church even ask me to train some horses but I have two horses to ride and take care of so I don't have time for a green broke horse. I barely have time to ride horses at my lesson barn!

Awesome. Yeah, I'm finding that horses and time are hard to manage, especially when you are still in school! :P
