RUS/Racing Under Saddle (trotters)

So has anyone else in here done this and is anyone else licensed? In the US it's called RUS, in Europe it's referred to as Monte Racing. Right now it's just getting started but my friend got me into it and now im working a stud getting him ready for my licensing qualifier in a few weeks.

It's a TON of fun, but also a ton of work, but i'm really loving it. Once I get my lic, i'll have a few other horses that I can ride and work and hopefully race once the season opens again. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or not and what you thought.

I just joined the USTA today, and applied for my license officially yay! Would love to have other people to ride/train with as well if there's anyone out there. This year they did RUS races at Freehold, Tioga, Vernon, Pocono, and Goshen. Can't wait to see where it goes. The stud i'm working with is a riot as well and he's been out of work so good for both of us to get in shape!

Hope all is well with you guys and i'll try to post in here more!!! :)

Only did it at the Red Mile in exhibition races.

When did you ride at Red Mile? They just did a pretty big race there and while they are non-betting races, they do offer purses now, and a license is required to ride. Do you have your lic or are you getting it soon? It's def a very cool sport - would love to have more people to connect with about it!
