Show attire question

When showing can you wear boots with half chaps instead of tall boots or well you get docked points for it. Also can you show english in bigger shows in a different color of tack other than white.

Depends on the show. You'll need to read the prize list and see what the requirements and dress code are. Half chaps are not usually allowed except at very informal shows. If you're wearing a jacket and/or braiding your horse, half chaps are not appropriate.

I am not sure what you mean by "tack color other than white" unless you mean saddle pad color. For any hunter showing, the only appropriate saddle pad is a white fleece contour pad that shows about an inch of fleece all the way around. Any other kind of pad is for schooling. Even at an informal of schooling show, I would still use a white fleece contour pad.

Well if someone does shows in english classes do they always do white saddle pads. Since western they get to wear any color. I just didnt now if the same went with english or not. Also are leg boots or polos allowed in showing as will

Yes, always the white pads. And contoured, not square pads, unless it's a very casual informal show (I would only use a square pad or a colored pad if I was also wearing a polo shirt.)

Boots and polo wraps are usually not allowed in hunter classes, only in jumpers and sometimes equitation, but again, the rules may be relaxed for a very casual schooling show.

Are you showing hunters? If so, they really do want traditional tack and clothing.

In eventing, half chaps and paddock boots are allowed in even recognized shows, as long as they are half chaps that match the boots and are made to look like boots (nothing rough or shabby). Square pads are allowed but only conservative colors are appreciated in dressage.
