I found two very different skijoring options here :) I personally would prefer the latter :) but I guess it's a prerequisite to the first anyways..

My dad and his friends would do something like that when they were young. Except it doesn't snow down here so they would have the horse run beside a big ditch or canal and use a knee board.

It looks like a LOT of fun!!! I wanna try!

LOL...ya the snow thing sounds a little safer than a canal where you have banks to contend with. Make sure you take some video if you ever try it so we can all enjoy your experience

About as close as I ever came was riding on a car hood behind a team of horses. Very dangerous and I am surprised that any of us survived but still incredible memories .

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

You crazy lady!! lol!! YES...your lucky to have the memories and not a head injury preventing you from have any memory This could be the pot calling the kettle black though..at one point we've all done things we look back on and think.."what was I thinking"...just this January I tried to wear my pipe rail fence as a hat by getting on my green broke filly with NO equipt (not even a halter) luckily my friends were there to enjoy the show I thought...with age came wisdom?? lol. My goose egg healed and I had to pop my shoulder back in as I dislocated it...unfortunately I found out months later that I had fractured my humerous too....ooppss. ahhhh fun times yet we keep going back for more...

I cant believe that more people arent skijoring in Alberta...we really have the perfect weather for it. I cant seem to find any info on it..maybe skiing behind the horse will prove safer for me than riding
