SO conflicted! English or Western?

Ok I used to ride English and most recently have been riding predominantly western. I have an awesome beginner horse that I've only ever ridden western; I just can't see her going English as she's been a gentle ranch horse her entire life. I'm at a point now though where I need to make a decision as to what discipline I'm going to focus on. I want to start taking more consistent lessons and get into showing one way or another...the problem is, I can't decide! I love casual western riding and have a great horse for it. But lately I've been really itching to get into an english saddle and start working with a trainer - possibly look around for a TB or something :^) I need some advice!

I'm sure any horse can do some English! I'm sure that you could show in one and still ride in the other on the side whenever you want, so just go with whatever you'd like!

Well are you looking to compete really heavily and get to higher levels and all in the near future? If not, I still say go for it. I'm planning for my next horse to be something along the lines of a stocky little ranch horse type and also do dressage with them...I just prefer that type of horse.
