So excited!

So I'm buying my very first horse thie week and he's 16.1hh brown thoroughbred, 6 years old and his name is Mustard :)
In about half an hour I get to ride him for the second time ever and I'm so excited I just thought I'd share with everyone.
The owner's borrowed her sisters wintec saddle that is for sale and so we are going to see if it fits both me and the horse today. Normally I'd be worried because I myself have no idea how to fit a saddle to a horse but she works at the tack shop and so she does it all the time, not to mention with her daughters horses as well.
But yeh, I get to ride him ^^ I'm looking forward to seeing him again. He's got such a cute face and he's so friendly, so fingers crossed may get a photo of him today..I'm just kind of scared to ask the owner if my sister or mum can take a photo of us or not. Reason of that is because my ex riding instructor used to hate people taking photos of the club ponies and anything at the club and I got yelled at several times :/
But yeh, anyway, what was your first horse buying experience like?
Was it exciting, scary?
Did you choose the right horse, or did you get used?
I would love to hear some stories

I worked at a farm and one of the horses I rode was a older qh mare. I rode and worked her alot and one day heading to a riding event the owner(my boss) offered her to me. that was one of my favorites experiences

My first horse was taken out from under me suddenly by his previous owners (well, technically they were apparently his actual owners, but yeah...long complicated story). So, yeah, not a good experience there.

If you want to count first horse I have paid for (the other horse was given to me), then Aires is my first and it's been a good experience so far. I bought him from the BO where I board. I went there with my friend (who boards her mare and gelding there) and was going to check out leasing a horse. The BO and I started talking and he asked if I'd rather buy a horse. Of course I said yes, but told him that I couldn't take the big hit of buying a horse straight-out at the moment. He showed me Aires and I instantly fell in love. The BO offered to let me do payments and gave me 24 hours to think on it. Less than twenty-four hours later I walked into the stable and signed the papers on my boy. Got 30 days of training with the BO and the trainer at the barn, as well as having him gelded free of charge, in the contract, as well.

Lovely stories! I would love if something like that happened to me.
heres two photos of me and my boy that I took today ^^
I found my horse buy going to a friend and asking her if her daughters had any horses for sale or whether she knew any quiet horses that were for sale and then she invited me over to see him a few weeks ago :)
