    So i have decided...

... to hire a trainer to help me with Vega.
That is the one thing I have not done yet, which is stupid, but I didn't know of any good trainers around here, and the one I did call, never got back to me.

So i'm going to call up this new trainer to see what she thinks/says and when she can come out to give me a consultation.

I am not overly happy with this, as I still feel that Vega is dangerous and unpredictable, but it could all be because of things that i'm doing and am unaware of. (I have a feeling that is totally it)

But I'll see how it goes and if I still don't feel comfortable after a while, i'll continue to sell her and look for a new horse.

There is nothing that I can lose (except money) but I know it will hopefully help both of us out.

    Thanks.

As of now, i've run into a problem. The trainer I want to get is not insured to work off her property, and with money right now, it's not an option to bring her somewhere to get trained.

I did e-mail my BO asking if she had to sign a release or something, so i'll see what she says.

Good luck! I'm glad you have decided to seek out a trainer. Now you will either have the horse you want or know in your heart that you have exausted every avenue!

I'm VERY glad to hear it, appy. Seriously! I still think Vega is the best looking out of all horses you posted. :) And she has potential too. Seems to me you are not firm enough with her. I'm not firm enough with my girls (per trainers) and horses certainly take advantage of that (at least bossy horses). Let us know how it'll go...

Well I still haven't heard back from my BO about having the trainer sign something (for insurance purposes)

So that kinda stinks.. a lot.

I think Tom is happy I'm doing this too... and I am too.. I do love Vega, but it's like we hit such a tall and thick brick wall, that I tried things to go over, around, or through it and nothing seemed to work, but after my ride on her on Tuesday, it's like things would get better again.
