So... I need help from Rodeo people... I want to...

Not familar with the miss rodeo but I am the rodeo queen in my home town and have been for the past 3 years(so since I was 10) and they had me write an essay, ride with the flag girls(most of them were really close family friends), got to ride free in one or two things to prove that you can ride well and then all the people that want to be queen come in the arena and the cowboys, cowgirls and everyone else there gets to choose their favorite person . That's how we run them in my hometown but other then that I don't know about the others ones I do travel out of state to wisconsin, oaklahome, montana and around wyoming in the off season.

You were somewhat concerned about cost of attire. I don't know if I can help you a ton but I did work at a Western Warehouse a few years back (BIG chain in the west and southwest). I know that a GOOD hat (even a lower end quality, like 20x) will run you 60?+ (If I remember correctly. Its been awhile so I may be COMPLETELY off...) I know that nice, quality button downs, I used to wear the old-school ones embroidered with roses and flowers, WITHOUT bling will run you 30-60+. If you buy QUALITY name brand boots (Tony Lama, Justin LUCCHESE, etc.) they will set you back $100-300 on the low to mid end. Wrangler jeans, like the 20x, or Cruel Girls will set you back 30 or more unless you catch them on sale. Some new brands I've seen are 60+.
Again, everything I'm listing is GOOD quality, name brand. You can definitely get stuff cheaper that may look good on the short term but PROBABLY won't have the quality or hold up in the way you might hope. Again, I may be WAAAAAY off in prices but I think I'm in the ballpark. Hope I helped!
