so much fun tonight

So every Wednesday and friday our fair grounds does little roping / barrel practice type stuff. So tonight my trainer and I loaded up her gelding , sugar, who I am currently using and her 4 yr old barrel mare and off we went. Well after messin around on the barrels for a bit they took em out and out came the ropers. We sat and watched for about an hour * expected one of the two tp freak over the steers but both were absolutely relaxed and could care less. Soo towards the end they let us haze a few. Well first one out sugar got confused about what was going on an gavr his little crow hop thing so we slowed down got the steer into the end pen and then we went back in the box for a second go and he went right after the steer boogyin. My trainer hazed one before then we both went together and I wish we had it on video shot gun wanted to EAT that steer lol.
But anyways just had to share my little bit of fun :)

Cattle work, I find, it always a great thing for the horse mind!

Yeah they both loved it had a good time lol shotgun especially needed it. My trainer let her friend who trained her other barrel horse run her at finals and the lady ruined her ripped her face off and wouldnt let her stretch out kept her bunched up and ehat not. Poor girl came back muscle sore and fighting the liggtest touch, dhe doesn't need much anyways. But she really liked it as before my trainer got her the previous owner played around with cutting on her.
