stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Ok so here is the deal, I would like to get a horse but I also plan on changing instructors with the new horse. When I look at horses I like an instructor to come along for some guidance. But who am I suppose to bring? My current instructor knows my riding ability the best, if I brought her I would have to explain the plan but that just seems wrong! Would I bring the new instructor who doesn't really know my ability or what else to do?! Thanks for all help :)

Can you put the purchase on hold for a few months, and take some lessons with the new instructor on a school horse? That way she can get to know your riding abilities first.

Yeah I deffinatly could, the school horses are (not to sound snobby but) very much so beginners so taking a few lessons on them I would not make a TON of progress, but if I just took enough to get to know her and visversa. That's a great idea! Thank you so much! :)

I'll be looking for a new coach in the new year and this is my plan as well: find a coach first and seek their input on purchasing a horse. Even fidning a new coach can take a while. As eagar as I'll be to purchase a horse asap, I want to make sure that I find the best one for me, so... I think this route will set us bothup for success.

Good luck!
