There's nothing better than getting out of the arena, going on a nice trail ride and having a good gallop on your horse after a stressful week. We played in the creek, did some nice stretchy trotting, cantered through a huge puddle, chased a chicken, and just had a blast exploring and goofing off. I love my horse. <3

Hope this post isn't considered spammy, but just thought I'd share.
And I'm sure there are lots who'll agree.

It was just such a nice ride.

You're lucky you can do that. That sounds awesome.

I've had the worst week, I'd kill for that right now! haha
I am just dying for my lesson tomorrow.
But a trail ride would be awesome.

Very fun. I absolutely adore trail riding cause there is so much fun stuff to look at, explore, and experiment with. Plus a good long gallop will certainly take your mind off any stresses you have. ;p

Definately! I have been babying my horse because of his back issues, so haven't ridden him for about two weeks... This week the chiropractor didn't show for his appointment and I found out I have to wait another week for my new saddle... I instructed all day at PC today and jumped on him to ride home... He was just so good. Doing a nice long trot and comfy lope on a loose rein... Definately made me feel good after a long disappointing week!

That's awesome to hear! I love days like that, they're so refreshing & nothing's better than a nice day off to just play!

I wish my horses were quiet enough to do that with. ;D My guy stopped dead and pivoted back to the barn last time we tried to gallop. That was real fun. lol You're very lucky.

Absolutely. It's the closest thing to flying away.

I agree, a nice hack through the field, across the stream, maybe jump a few logs is my favorite stress reliever.
