Get a trainer/instructor out to help you guys would be my suggestion, because if your cousin can't get the horse to move on her own, the instructor can help by telling you guys exactly how to get the pony moving, and train you guys in more ways give you the experience to work with the pony.

A pony is a childhood dream, a horse is an adulthood treasure.

try giving it a treat or something very time it does something good, that willl she will think oh yay treat, i want more. so ponies will repeat the good behaviour to get more treats. Also ask ItzKayley she got a pony who hasnt been riddin for a year and shes trained him to be a gem.

When we ride we borrow strength, courage and power

Enlist in a trainer if your asking for help on training this pony.

Do you know how to properly join up?

Was the pony trained previous to being off for a year? Did she have any kind of education? If so what was the pony's job before the vacation?
