awww it's been forever since I have galloped. I currently don't have a horse I feel comfortable galloping on. Buttt I will be soon bc roxanneify is getting a new pony and we can ride together. Yay! Oh I used to have an off track quarter horse he was sooooo much fun to gallop. I have a long strech of flat pasture and we tore it up! Lol the best was him full blast and bareback.

Mmm yeah, we play with a bit of bareback, we are up to the trot. But he has one big wither and I've never really done bareback apart from at camps and its like oww.

My pony was once bolting to the gate and a friends uncle and my dad said that it was either a really fast canter or a gallop. I would have enjoyed it if he wasn't trying to run me into trees making me play 'Limbo', while throwing a major bucking fit. But because of my 'skill' I managed to stay on. If we could gallop properly, it would be gr8

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky

I haven't galloped in a loooong time...atleast not on my own horses; Pride was a pleasure horse all the way around; he had no intentions of ever being a speed horse, and that was fine with me...he was always an honest worker, and I miss him terribly, because he was such a good boy!

My new boy, Danni is a speed demon, so we are working on 'sloow down and collect' rather than focusing on what he already knows, which is to run high headed and unrelaxed...
