what a day! good and bad!

I started my day off going to ride macie bareback for the first time. Got on without a problem. I m VERY clumsy! Was a little unsteady but did good till she did a little jig and I slid off. No biggy. That was the good!

Was gonna give her a bath. Tied her to my moms swing set. ( I know horrible idea!)She doesn't really like water so I let it trickle out she spazed and went up on her hind legs I dropped the hose and she proceded to take me and the swingset up the hill.I then rolled back down.
Calmed her down and we were good. Took her back to the barn and I was trying to take her bridle off somehow she got the reins hooked behind her leg up we go again. Got it untangled and calmed her down again. Brushed her, pet her and talked to her. I feel like I am the worst. horsewoman in the world! It was all my fault. I feel bad for putting her through my mistakes.

Wow, she ran with both you and a whole swingset? One of my mares doesn't like being washed either. I was gonna hose off the sand on her legs and she was like "Oh hell no!" even though it was just a little sprinkle lol

Dancer doesn't like the hose, either. She got really super hot the other day, just before Rain was born. I thought hosing her off, followed by fly spray would make her feel better. It probably did in the end, but she didn't seem to appreciate my efforts on her behalf! She struck out at me twice, for which she got a facefull of water.

Honestly, once she stopped acting like a bi**h, she seemed to enjoy the water. She made horrible faces and curled her lip when I sprayed her with the fly spray. I sure am glad flies don't normally bother her!

That is a BAD day. Glad you both made it thru unscathed tho'....dragging a swingset could get ugly I would think.....and...you had her tied by the bridle? BAD mom! ;))

She must be pretty bombproof I would think-a swingset "chasing" most horses would be enough for them to be seen next in another state!
