Cool What discipline should I do has been answered!

So, today I could almost tell my trainer was trying to test my skills to see what I can do. Weaving barrels, walking/troting over poles, posting, sitting trot, ect. So she sead Jessie(the horse) and I were becoming a great team. She said I should do jumping! But her only concern for a beginner jumper is that Jessie is one of those horses that jumps like 6ft. Instead of like the 2ft. Jump in fron of her. So if I do start an interest in jumping what are some saftey tips? And just tips in general jumping? Oh, and I really trust the horse I'm riding!

Just be ready for it, and don't fall off the first time. XD It's harder to get back on if you fall off the first time. Make sure you're always with a coach/trainer, always wearing your helmet and keep your heels DOWN!
What sort of lessons are you doing? Are you leasing, is it your own horse? I'd start with LOTS of poles and keep him very collected so he doesn't overjump...

Thanks and ha I wish she were mine she snuggles me all the time and I love her! I usually do flatwork but she wants me to start something new! I don't have a horse so the only time I would have to practice is once a week:( but unfortunatly my heels ALWAYS creep up ugh!

Well then I'd work on your heels BEFORE you start jumping. =P

Try it..is a bug..once you have it you can't get rid of it....I recently started, its feels like ur flying, for you heel problem stand on the edge of you stairs with your heels down and do it for a awhile. Just remember when your jumping look up to the sky, if not your energy stops and your horse get a awkward landing!

Good Luck,
