What kind of Helmet?

Iím looking at getting an everyday riding helmet and was wondering what everyone prefers. I do not like the fit of the cheaper Troxel helmets but I do own a nicer Troxel that I use for shows and donít want to wear it out and the helmet gets pretty warm to wear. There are so many out there and I just donít know what is good.

Thanks!

I am purchasing a charles owen soon (I love them!) I use an IRH XR9 which is on sale at dover saddlery for 70.00. They have a really good fit and are easy on with hairnets. You can show in it too. I love it!

I can only advise whatever fit your head.

I have very hard time to find a helmet, which would fit my head, so the only one making me more or less happy is medium price Troxel with the adjustment system. And one high end (I believe CO, but I don't have that kind of money anyway). I think Tipperary are very nice, but again they may or may not fit.

Those are nice too. I tried all different kinds (some looking better than Troxel), but fit is always ahead of the look. Lol!

I owned a Troxel for 10 years before I got a new one....But I never look at the brand, just try on all the helmets within my budget and then go from there. I could care less about being "in" as long as my head is safe!

I love my Tipperary for both me and my child. From what I can tell, it has the most scientific research and will protect your scull and your spine.

I have an Ovation helmet which I really like Dover Saddlery | Ovationô Deluxe Schooler Helmet . Great low profile and most importantly it doesn't make me sweat like crazy when its 90 degrees out!
