What is your riding discipline?

What discipline do you ride? Why?
Is there a discipline you wish you could ride in, but can't?

Jumper. I just find it more exciting than the hunters and without so many "silly" rules if you will. I've always wanted to give barrel racing a serious try but I'm told it's more or less for girls where I live. (I have done some barrel racing, for fun, in English tack and had a blast!) :)

I do team penning and sorting. I wish I could do cutting again but can't afford it at this time.

I work in racing but for my own horse, if you call it a discipline... I just hack around the fields and road and enjoy him :) My little girl is starting hunter lead rein.... which I suppose is sort of my discipline as well since I get to dress up in the goofy outfit and lead her.

Wish I could get back into dressage... don't have the money for it though :(

I do jumping, trail riding and orienteering (all English). But I would LOVE to get into low level cross country and cutting!

I'm a barrel racer. I've always wanted to try poles, but am scared out of my mind... Jumping would be fun, too, but, I don't know if I could get used to the saddle lol

I do Reining, Jumping, Sorting/penning, and trail riding. I ride in these disciplines because its fun! I really want to advance my riding in Jumping and Reining. A discipline I want to be in is Barrel Racing :P. I discipline that I want to be in, but can't is racing. I'm way to tall to be a jockey (5'7...lol) but it seems like it would be so awesome but I guess barrel racing might be better!

I do dressage. I'd love to be able to do western pleasure, reining, hunter undersaddle and more show hunter classes. They really don't offer enough of those competitions around my area.

Well I used to do western pleasure/hunter under saddle style riding. Now I trail and arena ride western. But I still make sure my horse knows his body parts, stuff that was neccessarry for showing but not really for trail ride like pivots, side passing, leads, half-passing, speed control, giving to the bit. I don't just get on and go ALL the time :)

There's a lot I'd love to do! Dressage is at the top... It's so beautiful, but too expensive. I'd also love an Arabian endurance horse. The extreme cowboy race... Barrel Racing would be awesome! I think my horse would actually be good at that, he's fast! My arena just isn't proper for it. Reining and cutting are also amazing.

I've attempted SHORT jumps, but my position was horrible... I'd never want to do jumpers, that's too scary for me!
