Where to begin??

Hi everyone,

I am an adult beginner looking for local riding lessons. I currently live in Brentwood, Essex and for the last 6 months I have found it very difficult to find a local school to start lessons at.

I have ridden a horse before (walk & trot), but would really like to go back to baiscs and start again. However I am finding it really hard to find lessons for adult beginners at the weekend or in the evening. I am finding they often require you to have a certain level of skills to join the class.

I am willing to take private lessons to build up my skills, however they only seem to run them during week days

Has anyone else had the same problem? Or able to recommend a good RS for adult beginners?

Many Thanks

I enjoy Googling for people, so let me show you what I've found, though I don't live in Essex (or the UK, for that matter). I went on the British Horse Society's website and I've picked out the ones in Essex. (Most of them. I left out some for the disabled/couldn't figure out if they had lessons for beginners or not/were quite far.) I realise some are farther than others from you, but there are a lot, so I didn't Google maps them all. XD The ones I did were all within 15-30 minutes away from your general area. And your preference may be different from mine, so I thought I'd just include most of them. Sorry if it's a lot of links, but more selection is better than no selection? :3 I hope it helps you.
