Talking Winter Fun!

Who says you have to stop having riding fun in the winter? Here is some winter fun!
Using a fun rig-up involving extra stirrup leathers, breastcollars, and a lunge line we are able to pull the kids through the snow!
The horses don't mind the sled or the kids.
A fun time was had by all!

* the ground was not slippery at all, just nice fluffy snow..

That looks like fun! (but it involves snow ... I hate snow).

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

That is so cool! I'm hoping to try that with Spirit some time this winter :) She's been roped off before when she was out west, but she's suffered some physical abuse and is kinda crusty now

That looks like so much fun :) This winter im not doing anything with my horse b/c he had his shoes pulled so he has been very tender footed and the ground keeps freezing, but im hoping by next winter he'll be back up and going and then we can play in the snow :)

ohmghee that looks so much fun!
I'd love to try some of that with Styles, but there is no snow here (and its BRITISH COLUMBIA) so no snow-playing for me! It just rains and hails and sleets and is cold..

i think all the snow got used up last year when it snowed 5 feet :S

FUN!!!! I would do that if I got snow here in AZ...Lol!

We did do that kind of stuff when I lived in MN (I grew up there, so I had a 'few years' of snowy fun...I miss it too!)
