Worst Fall In A While.

We all do silly things sometimes, however, I would not consider riding in the wind as silly. I ride in whatever kind of weather Minnesota has to offer that day. Some days it's 40 mph winds, sometimes its raining. I really don't know why I continue to ride in the rain actually (guess I just love my horse :) ). The joys of showing horses I guess.... You took the necessary precautions with the extra lunging. You did nothing wrong. Just a freak thing I guess.

Well Chingasmy, boy I deffinatly commizarate with you. As you were writing your original post I was in the emergency room getting X-rays of my hips. Ribs, and pelvis. My darling spooked, got me off balance, took off straight twards the wall and at the last minute made a hard right and I went flying into the wall. No broken bones but man do I hurt. I am to old for this. I am glad you are alright. I'll take an extra advil for you. If spelling is off, It's the drugs.

I've had my old horse fall on me before - it hurt, but we were able to do our fun show two weeks later. You had a good point to be in the wind, and honestly if that's what setting up a fail is, I shouldn't trail ride most days that I do, haha!

I'm sure your boy will be fine, and I hope the chiro says he is. Glad you're okay, too. :)

I don't think it's silly to ride when it's windy out... but maybe that's just because if we didn't ride when it was windy around where I live, we'd rarely be able to ride! You just have to be a little more careful with some horses when it is (which it sounds like you were).
