Just wondering what kind of boots everyone rides in (mainly for western riding). Also, what kind of boots do you show in? Pictures would be fun as well :)

I only ride in Ariats, they're the best as far as I am concerned!

I have a pair of Ariats that I've been wearing for 6 years and they're just now starting to wear out. As for showing? I always wore long black chaps and cleaned and polished my Ariats.

My mom bought me show boots on our trip to check out TCU (unfortunately I stopped showing the next season) and they've held up okay with occasional wear. They're okay, but not as comfortable to ride in and won't hold my spurs. They sure looked nice but I couldn't wear plain jeans with them because of the two tone pattern, but a solid colored pair would've been fine.

if you go to "bootbarn" online click on western, one of the choices are "Made in USA" click on that you will get quite a few to choose from. Mostly Justins and Chipewa, Ariats are made in China.

Tony Lama also has a line that's made in the USA. However as sad as it is, the ariats are way more comfortable and hold up WAY better than Justins and are much comfier than the Tony Lamas. My Dan Posts, although BEAUTIFUL, fell apart immediately. Quality just isn't what it used to be.
