Coat too dressy for hunters or jumpers?

I am in love with this coat.

Problem is, I think it might just be too dressy, and I should probably ask to save myself the awkwardness of being over dressed. (which is VERY typical of me- yes there is such thing as being too dressy... been there done that. )
So anyway... id love some feedback, or if anyone knows of any jackets more appropriate in the modern fabrics like this one.

I believe that's a Dressage coat you're looking at, which I wouldn't use for hunters / jumpers just because it doesn't allow quite as much movement as a hunt coat would. And yes, you'd look a little over dressed. Especially if you're riding hunters, where you're going to be judged.

Thanks. Yes, it is a pikeur dressage coat. I haven't shown since I was a kid and now that I am riding again I need to figure out what i'm wearing this spring/summer for showing. Does anyone know of any hunter appropriate coats with the modern fabrics?

I wouldn't wear that into the hunter ring, but I don't see why you can't wear it in jumpers if it's comfortable.

Grand Prix makes some really nice modern coats, as well as Animo.

RJ Classic, Ariat, Tailored Sportsman are all great...Go on to Dover Saddlery.com and check out all the jackets. There are TONS for hunter/jumpers! I wouldn't wear a dressage coat in the hunter or eq ring.
