My personal fave costume I would do If I honestly didn't think my horse would flip out and if I really had the time or motivation to build and paint the box is a lifesize breyer horse model:

HorseCrazyTeen likes this.

Costume

This year I am planning on going as Pippy Longstocking. I heard that her horse was white with black spots, but I will have to work with my chesnut. I am planning on wearing one paddock boot and one tall boot with bright red pants, and a crazy sock with the paddock boot. I was pippy a while back and had a headband with two braids sticking out, my mom is going to attach them onto my old helmet so it looks like i have braids sticking out. I think I am going to wear a bright colored crazy shirt as well. I am planning on taking some of his braided knots down and leaving some in. I unfortunantley cannot do anything with his tail because he hates having it fussed with. I am planning on sewing a bunch of random fabric scraps on a piece of jean and laying it over his saddle pad. If anyone one would like to use this idea feel free too. If anyone has anything to add to my idea. I was thinking having my stirups a different length or doing something to my reins.

I only have pictures of two costumes, but I have turned my horses into a witch, a knight, a clown, a court jester, a ghost, a dark unicorn, and a carousel horse. My best friend has turned her horse into a knight and an indian pony.

I have pictures of the indian pony and the carousel horse.
