English Belt

So I've always hated belts. On any outfit. They are so uncomfortable to me, I never bothered with them. When I showed or rode, I didn't have one. Bt my horse and I are moving up in the ranks and I can't get away with not having one like I can in really small schooling shows.

I don't really know what a "proper" English belt would be. Can I just wear any simple brown one? Does it have to be an official riding belt? What are the requirements? I have everything else show-clothes wise. Just unclear on the belt.

Mine are solid black I like them they look nicer, you can use any type of belt it does not have to be an "official" riding belt, as long as it fits in the belt loops I wear it.

Nope, any solid, conservative color should be fine! I have one that is black and has floral cut-outs that looks really nice. I also have a solid black one, and another belt that I used for Western. The western belt is the only official riding belt I have. The only thing that I have found that is different with riding belts is the price tag increase, to be honest.
