Gaited Horse show clothes?

Does anyone here show gaited horses? Mountain horses specifically? I have shown stock horses for years, but I'm starting with mountain horses next year and I would like to start getting my outfits together. I'm not exactly sure what they are wearing!! I will be showing 1 yearling and a 2 yr old in halter if that helps. Thanks!

Sure do! I show walkers, but it's usually the same.

Horse:

Me:

Horse and I after jacket rule was waived:

Basically you need:
Day Coat
Hat(helmet or derby depending on your confidence)
Kentucky Jodhpurs(Get the sticky kind! They're slick!)
Vest and Tie(For Mtn. Horses, people tend to go more muted colors than Walker people, I've noticed)
Paddock Boots(Pref. Black)
Hair Bow
Glitzy Browband!!

The horse will need the 3 ribbons braided into their forelock and first strand of their mane, and a nice long (Ear & 1/2) bridle path.

Here's a vid from our easy-gaited pleasure class at fair. You can show Western or Saddleseat in the class. Here's the three of us in championships

I would look up the rules of your specific breed to get the best idea. That won't apply to open shows but it will give you an idea. I have been to peruvian shows and paso fino shows and the both had very different types of outfits.

I actually called KMSHA and talked to them about the attire and they helped me out alot! They said that western is fine as long as my horses tack matches. So, since I will only be showing in halter I think I will just stick with the western clothes. Thanks everyone!!
