Good online store for breeches?

Wasnt sure where to put this so.. Hahaha

Anyway, I'm planning on ordering breeches online (no tack shops near me) and I was wondering what a trustworthy and not too pricey online brand/ website would be to order from? I don't show, they'd just be for lessons :) thanks in advance

Too many to name :)...I don't think I have seen any online store that doesn't sell breeches.

The main "big name" stores are probably Dover Saddlery and Stateline tack. Others such as Smartpak, Equestrian Collections and even smaller places like Jeffers Equine also have them. The selection is essentially limitless depending upon your budget.

I admit I never understood why people have to have this or that special brand of breeches that cost upwards of $200/pr. I have never paid over $75 for mine (and only just due to normal price increases) and it certainly didn't make a difference in my show performance that I wasn't wearing $200 breeches.

Thank you! I'll check them all out later.

Yeah, I wouldn't spend more than 50 bucks on the ones I'm about to get I think. Plus I dont show, so nobody will judge me :p

Dover is ridiculous in shipping. They don't do a flat rate, they CHARGE you shipping based on your purchase amount. I tried purchasing a pair of breeches for 99. They emailed me later asking about two kinds of shipping. I had the choice of paying 95 dollars or 85 dollars. I was like no!

Vto Saddlery, Horseloverz.com, onestopequine, smartpak (really like their own brand)

I actually very much like Dover. Their shipping might be a bit pricy, but their products are fairly priced. Especially compared to the brick and mortar stores in the area.

The sensitivity of the internet baffles me.

I agree... the MOST I have ever paid for a pair of breeches was $100 for my show pair... and those were a gift from my parents.

BUT, there was a lady at the dressage barn where I used to board whose breeches finally wore out after 10 years of use, and she wanted a similar pair that was about $200 a pair. After hearing "Oh, I just love these breeches, but they're just soooo expensive!!" over the course of a few days I finally just said "Well, since your breeches last you 10 years then just buy the ones you want. If you can't afford it, then buy something cheaper." I guess she needed to hear that justification from someone else, because she immediately went and bought them...

Dover does have expensive shipping, but that's always where I have bought mine. Smarkpak is a popular choice if you're not sure exactly what you want (style or size wise) because they have free return shipping on sized items. Almost any well-known online name will be reliable and trustworthy.

I keep my breeches forever, so I don't see anything wrong with paying $200+ for a pair of breeches. It's not necessary for all of them, but I like having a nice pair or two <3

I'd suggest looking on ebay. I bought a whole bunch of great schooling breeches that lasted me 2 years for only $10
