Like equiniphile, I have an IRH that I sometimes forget I'm wearing. I think I have the exact one you posted. I also have a large head so I like the look of the IRH for not making me look like a bobble head.
That said, that blue defender looks pretty awesome... Posted via Mobile Device
Doesn't it? Lol. I keep reading that they fit similar to the GPA which has me tempted. I would be getting the black one as I suspect the blue wouldn't go over well in the dressage ring lol. I kind of want to be a trend setter, I have not seen them around here at all.
I tried on a One K and really liked it, but (and this is so pathetically petty) they run really small, and my vanity would not allow me to purchase an XL helmet. But they are really well styled, IMO.
I wear a 7... Its on the boarder between med and lrg. Should I go for the large? I always twist my long thick hair to put it under my helmet. Should I go large? Posted via Mobile Device
I bought the Charles Owen GR8 a year ago and it is the most amazing helmet I've ever had , I only use it at shows (because it was so expensive and when I fall I tend to land on my head the majority of the times ) but it is so comfortable and it breathes really well and in my opinion , I think it looks really nice compared to some of the other helmets I've seen lately :P

CO doesn't fit me properly. Even if they did fit, I wouldn't go for one. Because A) Very over priced and B) I really don't like the way they look. Sitting so high up on a persons head. Just not my style of helmet.
I know a few people that have the One K helmets and have heard nothing but good things about them. One girl at the barn has an eye condition and is legally considered blind and has to wear sunglasses all the time, she has the one that has the shades that pull down and it has been a lot easier and more comfortable for her to ride, and she says its very comfortable. I think they are really starting to take off.

I love the ones with the shades on them! I am going to get a simple black/charcoal for now. If I like it I am thinking about getting one with the shades for cross country and those bright summer days. I wear glasses, can't wear contacts. I have had prescription sunglasses for riding but I don't like them as much as my regular glasses. I always seem to miss my spot by just a tiny little bit. More then likely its all in my head thinking they don't let me see right but this gives me an excuse to get a second helmet lol.
I would definitely go a size up in the OneK if you're between sizes. I was chatting with the owner of the tack store I was shopping at, and she said they keep selling out of the XL size because the OneK's run so small.
I don't know if you got the helmet or not yet, but it is AMAZING. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I am in love with it. Wore it to my first show, comfortable and my head didn't get sweaty! It's the perfect cheaper version of a gpa (since I, like you, broke my gpa in a fall). I HIGHLY recommend it! Posted via Mobile Device
