My last helmet was that particular IRH you posted in your original post- I absolutely HATED that helmet. If you want the details feel free to ask! However, I actually own a different IRH now which I really like. A few girls at my barn have really nice IRH helmets too that fit well.

Go On.

I have the IRH Elite and it's a wicked schooling helmet. Just as light as the GPA Speed Air's but much cheaper. I've had people confuse the two. It's seriously a decent helmet so I'm curious as to what your issue was?

I actually ended up ordering this helmet Ovation I LOVE it! Its light as a feather, it fits nicely, I forget its even on my head and I love that it has the dial so I can adjust it for how I am wearing my hair. I am very impressed with it. Its not the GPA Speed that I am dying to get. But it's a nice stand in. I also love the fact that it was $40 cheaper when I ordered it through my local tack store.

How does the weight of the Ovation compare to the GPA Speed?

I couldn't tell you. None of the tack shops here carry GPA *sigh* so I haven't been able to fondle one personally. Greenhawk is 2 hours away and I don't know if they keep the Speed in stock or have to order it in. But there is only 2 tack shops here and one only carries troxel schooling helmets, the other one only carries CO, Ovation schoolers(have to order the other styles in) and Tipperary. They haven't had anything else in for awhile now.

Honestly though I don't think I have ever felt such a light helmet before this one. I love it.
