I like the ovations at my barn but I had the same problem with my IRH. I ended up recently buying a tipperary eventer and I LOVE it. Super comfy, no bubble head, my ears FIT, I can wear a pony tail under it. Only down side is they are not a 'classical' looking helmat and that they dont have much of a brim.

Your horse is stunning by the way!!

Your helmet looks GREAT!

Your horse looks a lot like a horse I used to ride. He was seriously a DREAM to ride. I have no idea what his breeding was, but he was gaited. Dakota's Page

That was a major spook by the way. Someone's car alarm went off. So I either had points taken off or got a point for handling it well (LOL)

Thanks for the compliments! I will try a Tipperary, I see them around alot.

It's a great pic! How lucky that the photographer snapped the pic at the exact right moment.

Helmet fit

Awesome shot!! Beautiful horse.
I know you might not want to hear this, but I would be careful about how you adjust those straps to be over your ear. In my training for fitting helmets, this wouldn't be okay. Ideally, the slide guide should be directly below your ears, not behind them.
Here's a pic that shows what I'm talking about.

Rest assured, when helmeted we all feel like Dumbo the elephant. You're not alone. A male judge isn't interested in your ears. He may appreciate bouncy boobs or a chunky behind but definitely no ear interest. If a male judge of a different persuasion, he's not interested in you at all.
