Horse Show Clothing Poll

Western:

On your head, depending on your age, what do you wear on your head? Do you still stick with the helmet or leveled up to a cowboy hat?

Cowboy hat for horse shows, I usually wear a helmet at home though since I typically ride by myself.

As a top what do you wear? A show shirt? What does it look like?

I have a couple of show shirts. Most are made of a stretchy fabric. Two have a collar and cuffs and the other one doesn't

As pants do you wear jeans, dress pants, or showmanship pants? What do you use for chaps?
I wear a pair of cheap brown walmart pants that match my chocolate suede chaps pretty well.

On your feet? What do you wear? Cowboy boots or riding boots?
I have a pair of brown ostrich leather cowboy boots. I will usually wear spurs too depending on the horse.

I have a Troxel helmet for schooling and a hunt cap for shows.

What do you wear as a top? Polo or show shirt and jacket? What brands and/or types?
I have a sleeveless white ratcatcher that I wear under a navy hunt-coat.

On your legs? Jodspurs? What colors do you prefer?
Beige or khaki breeches for horse shows. Any color tights or breeches are fine for schooling, sometimes I even wear jeans, but that's not as comfy.

On your feet? For socks? For boots? Brands and types?
Socks? I have the slippery socks for tall boots, but my calves have gotten too big to wear them I'm on the hunt for new ones (praying I don't have to buy custom!). I mostly wear paddock boots and half-chaps since my tall boots cut off the circulation to my leg lol.

As a top what do you wear? A show shirt? What does it look like? I have a trailer full of clothes. Rail jackets, horsemanship shirts, showmanship jackets, fitted shirts and vests, whatever it is it has to fit correctly and compliment me and my horse.

As pants do you wear jeans, dress pants, or showmanship pants? What do you use for chaps? Slacks that match my outfit for showmanship and riding that I got from Hobby Horse and split leather custom chaps that match my outfit and pants are a must in riding classes.

On your feet? What do you wear? Boots dyed to match my outfit.

What type of helmet do you use? Velvet hunt cap.

What do you wear as a top? Polo or show shirt and jacket? What brands and/or types? Long sleeved show shirt and a show coat.

On your legs? Jodhpurs? What colors do you prefer? I wear tan breeches for HUS and white breeches for Dessage.

On your feet? For socks? For boots? Brands and types? I always wear thin trouser socks, 2 pairs. I don't like the think socks because they bunch up and only one pair of trouser socks is not enough!

I bought a slightly used Troxel Grand Prix Classic from my barn. I got it for $20 so I was extatic. It fits her pretty comfortably and is not too bulky.

What do you wear as a top? Polo or show shirt and jacket? What brands and/or types?
I am terrible with brands. For her Huntseat classes her trainer wants them to wera dark jacket with any complimentary color shirt. So we went with a dark blue jacket (not the standard navy but more a darker color then navy with some texture) and a light purple long sleeve shirt. For Eq classes she has the same jacket (cause it cost a freakin' fortune) and a white short sleeve show shirt.

She had a darker beige pair of breeches, kind of caramel color for lessons that we were going to just use for show but we decided to go with a lighter pair. Then at the show she got a stain from her boots after her first Championship class and the next one was her Championship Eq class. Since she was in the running for a ribbon we decided to by a pair from the kiosk at the show. They were cheaper then the ones we bought at the tack store but they fit so much better and they wash really well. I think they are TuffRiding or something like that.

Most of the girls wear those long boot socks with the different patterns. I think they are called Zocks or something. My daughter is super tall so she wears a size 9 W boot. We went with synthetic boot by Saxon (I think) dress boot with the zipper back. We tried on the leather ones but for teh life of me we couldn't get them off. And since I used to show SS so we only had the short paddock boot, I was nto used to the war of pulling off a tall boot. I swear I thought her foot was stuck in that boot for good.

They are comfortable and clean easy. I am sure the Ariats or the more expensive boots will last longer but since she is only 11, I wasn't about the spend $300. :)[/QUOTE]

I used a velvet hunt cap, I throw a helmet cover over it for schooling. The brand is IRH.

What do you wear as a top? Polo or show shirt and jacket? What brands and/or types? White show shirt with a black coat. The coat looks kinda like a hunt coat and kinda like a dressage coat, so I get away with using it for both. The brand is Devon Aire.

On your legs? Jodspurs? What colors do you prefer?
I use really pretty light colored tan Devon Aire breeches

For socks, I use.... Socks:). For schooling I use paddock boots and half chaps. My paddock boots are ariats and I think im in love! My field boots for shows are hand-me-downs, im not sure of the brand.

For driveing I have a trilby hat a checked hacking jacket white shirt black tie and trousers and shoes and a driveing apron bottle green bound yellow.
For rideing classes jocky skull cap silk to match hacking jacket white shirt and a black tie jodspurs and mountain horse boots.
When I hack out at home drive or trail ride drive jocky skull cap padded jacket t shirt jodphers mountain horse rideing boots some times jodspur boots.

Top - White show shirt with a navy blue hunt coat.
Pants - Tan coloured breeches.
Footwear - Tall leather boots, with purple boot socks :) my boots are Aüken brand.

Verious coloured numnahs saddle cloths (squares)
Black jodphurs any horse tshirt horse swetter or a hoodie by robinsons or toggie.
Toggie socks or mountain horse and mountain horse boots.
Long rideing jodphur boots driveing.
Exerciseing the pony a leather working set of harness full set.
Eather a set of navy blue race blinkers with wa in cambridge blue (west anglia) and a rideing bridle havana with a kimblewick.

I have brought vanessa a lot of clothing which is in storage.
And I brought her a pink 15 inch western saddle with pink bling rinestones
And it came with head stall brest girth and girth the extras are a pink saddle cloth and girth.
All in storage.
In this there is to much to mention I got her a hoodie with pink rinestones and a pink horse with tammy and vanessa.
