    jacket for walk/trot/canter show?

Right now I am doing walk/trot/canter. I have a show coming up (home show) and I was womdering if I need to wear a jacket. I am 13 and a girl if that makes a difference.

If it is an in-house type show, only you and others at the barn competing against each other, you need to check with your trainer..they may not require jackets, just the same type of dress you would wear in lessons. Otherwise, unless excused due to excess heat, wearing a jacket is a courtesy, shows respect for the judge and should be worn.

If its a hunter show, it would probably be best to wear a jacket. Unless the temp. Is high and the judge waves jackets, I would wear one and check with my trainer
