Need help figuring some stuff out for showing this spring/summer

I am going to be showing Junior in local shows and in B rated shows this summer. I will be showing every month probably. I want to look nice though (I really respect a nice turned out team). I have no idea what color jacket, shirt, breeches, etc. would look best on me. I know for the B shows I will have a nice well fitted saddle pad that is white. I am showing hunt seat and jumpers, by the way.

I currently ride Junior in a flash bridle with a full cheek slow twist, but that is for jumping (though he rides really well in the slow twist on the flat). I can control him in a loose ring just fine, but I feel like he rides best in a full cheek slow twist. I would be using a nice fancy stitched bridle (no flash). Do you think it would be okay to ride him in the full cheek, or should I look for a slow twist dee?

His color changed quite a bit. He is normally a bit more coppery during the summer, but he dulled out a bit.

So colors!! And the bit thing.... Need advice.

Are there any photos from previous shows you can look at to see what everyone else is wearing? That should give you a good starting point.

Traditionally, the discipline you show in dictates the colors you wear.

I know down here in the Southeast, in the hunter shows we wear beige-green breeches (Not green -- it's actually a pukey beige color), a white or pinstriped ratcatcher, dark blue jacket and black boots with black helmet. For jumpers, it would be white breeches with a black jacket, white shirt and black boots, black helmet.

And for classes that don't require a jacket (due to heat, etc.), a nice polo shirt will work.

Have you asked your trainer? If you're showing locals, there's a good chance that so long as you turn out properly dressed in a jacket and breeches, they don't mind color variations, so long as you don't mix and match wild colors. :)
