Paddock Boots?

Just wondering if paddock boots are appropriate for riding and/or shows? I'm a beginner rider and may be learning jumping pretty soon, so I need to know what kind of boots would be appropriate. Thanks!

Unless you were going to compete at rated shows right away....paddock boots with half chaps can be perfectly acceptable. But you should ask your coach what she prefers. (If your parents are buying them, make sure its something they can afford.)

I have paddock boots and half chaps for every day riding, and boots for showing.
